6 things no one tells you about boudoir photography

Hey again folks!

Logan here. Boudoir is kind of a mystical, uncharted type of photography, isn't it? It seems like it's only for a certain type of person -- perfect bodied models, bold women, maybe someone self absorbed and vain who needs to have their beauty on display? Actually, it's completely the opposite! Boudoir photography is becoming increasingly popular with women who want to create stunning, empowering images, but that’s only half the story. Take a look at the secrets only a New Jersey boudoir photographer would know and you’ll be ready to start planning your shoot.

You can shoot in the comfort of your own home

Boudoir photography is all about making you feel confident and empowered, and if your home is where you feel that way more than anywhere else, that’s where we’ll shoot. You don’t have to be nervous about stripping off under studio lights — you can do exactly what you want without leaving your home (but my private in-home studio will always be available for you if you decide you want a new, fresh setting!)

It makes a stunning gift your partner will never forget

When you want to treat your partner to something truly unique, nothing compares to a photo he/she will never forget. If you don’t want to add them to a portfolio or share them on social media, you can give them to the one person who will treasure them for ever -- or keep them tucked away for YOURSELF, and immortalize your body for decades to come.

More women are trying it than ever before

Whilst it used to be a niche art form only open to the most glamorous women in the world, boudoir photography is becoming more accessible than ever. By shifting the focus to capturing and highlighting what makes every woman beautiful in her own special way, it allows you to explore your body image in a relaxed and creative environment.

You can take things at your own pace

Don’t worry, you’re not going to be asked to strip down the moment you walk through the door. When you work with a New Jersey boudoir photographer it’s all about embracing an experience that puts you in control and leaves you feeling at ease. Take your time, feel natural and enjoy the process from beginning to end.

There are no restrictions on what you wear (or don't wear..)

You should never feel that you have to try and fit into the status quo — this is your session so enjoy it in your own way. You have the freedom to wear anything that your heart desires, and you have the opportunity to show the camera what makes you truly special.

It’s all about natural beauty

Whilst some women love to treat themselves to a makeover beforehand, you have the freedom to do whatever you like. You can keep things completely natural, turn on the style, or opt for anything else in between. It’s completely up to you, and that’s the one thing no one else will tell you…
